Oh the fun you can have with a potty!
When shopping in Aldi other week I picked up a potty for Mimi, we aren’t potty training yet but I want to get her used to the potty. She has started to become more aware and on a couple of occasions has used the toilet.
Our crafty morning
Yesterday morning Mimi and I went to a local babies craft class. Fairy and pirate tots is an hour long kids imaginative craft class, where each week you get to make a keepsake. The classes are themed and this weeks theme was pigs.
Dear Paula – going out doesn’t make you a bad mum
Today I read a story online, it was in the Daily Mail and Mirror online (and possibly others). Written by a mum called Paula Winchester. Paula is a single mum to a lovely 4 year old girl and she believes that single mummies who go out at the weekend are ‘disgraceful half-hearted parenting.’

Open farm Sunday
Sunday 5th June is national farm Sunday, a day once a year when working farms open there gates to the general public to have a look around. This would be Mimi’s first time at a farm and we choose to visit Cockhaise, an organic dairy farm in Haywards Heath.

Adoption – one dogs tail
I hate SATs ! Let our children be children !
There I said it I hate the SATs and what they are doing to my normally bright, confident, out going daughter. She’s in year 6, she is 11 years old and instead of doing what ‘normal kids’ do when the sun comes out, she spent the weekend going though a stack of revision guides we managed to get her out into the garden but the books came too.
TFIF – hold on I’m a mum!
It’s Friday the sun is shinning and it’s set to be hotter than Ibiza this weekend and although the only real difference between a Friday and a Saturday for me is the number of children in the house, I am definitely looking forward to this one.
