Little Alf

A couple of weeks ago we received a very exciting pink parcel from the very lovely and talented Hannah Russel and her gorgeous horse Little Alf,

Mimi and Grace where very excited to see what was inside and they weren’t disappointed. Inside was a gorgeous pink hoodie with the very cute Little Alf pictured on the front of it and a book of his adventures, Little Alf, the magic helper. The next day Grace went on a camping trip and the first thing she packed was her new Little Alf hoodie. I have to admit at this point I was worried and I gave her strict instructions not to ruin it ! But I needn’t  have worried about it she took very good care of it plus it was a lovely hot week so she only wore it in the evenings when it was chilly – apparently lots of people asked her about it and paid her compliments too which she loved.

The hoody is so soft, thick and the most gorgeous shade of pink – it also washed well, with no fading or bobbling which is just as well because it has been washed and warn at lot!

Mimi is a bit to little for a hoody but that hasn’t stop her from pinching Grace’s and wearing it any opportunity she gets! But best of all the girls have really bonded over a horse, a tiny horse called Little Alf. All Mimi wants is Grace to read her the book, she will often bring the book to her and snuggle up on her lap ready to listen. I think Grace must almost know it off by heart she read it to her that many times!

Little Alf, the magic helper (the Christmas sequel) by Hannah Russell

Now I don’t want to give to much away about the storyline, but its set in the week before Christmas and is full of fun, friendship, magic, mystery, adventure and of course the very loveable Little Alf, it is a story that my girls have enjoyed reading over the summer – on a number of occasions! The fact it’s set around Christmas really hasn’t put them off or affected their love for this book. Mimi particularly loves the photos of Little Alf and his friends and she gets very excited whenever she gets to a page with a horse picture on it. The print is a nice size and is clear and easy to read. This book has quickly become a firm favourite in the Sparkly household!

And remember – believe in magic and you will find it !
