Try it Tuesday – American Brownies

image

Sparkly daddy has a thing about puddings at the moment so this week I decided to make him some brownies – something he loves but I have never made before. So I had a look though my numerous cook books and found a yummy looking recipe for American brownies in my Jane Asher’s beautiful baking book.

3 eggs

60g cocoa powder

100g self raising flour

200ml veg oil

100g golden sugar

150g dark brown sugar

1/4 tsp sodium bicarbonate

1/4 tsp salt

20x25cm or 23cm square baking tray lined or greased which ever you prefer.

Preheat your oven to 180c (165c fab assisted, 350f, gas mark 4) then chuck all your ingredients in to a bowl together (got to love an all in one recipe!) and mix well (I used my electric hand mixer) once all the ingredients are blended together, pour into your tray and put it in the oven for 25-30mins,  I did mine for 25mins so they was still a little gooey in the middle. And the verdict ? Can we have these for pudding tomorrow – I think they was a success!
